Delft Circuits’ Cri/oFlex® Cables Integrated with Bluefors Cryostats for Scalable Quantum Systems

Bluefors, a manufacturer of cryogenic measurement systems, has announced a strategic partnership with Delft Circuits to offer their turnkey quantum input/output (I/O) solutions. By integrating Delft Circuits’ Cri/oFlex® technology into Bluefors’ dilution refrigerators, the collaboration aims to provide a complete, scalable I/O solution to address the growing need to support quantum systems with increased qubit counts.

The new partnership delivers a solution with Delft Circuits’ flexible, high-density Cri/oFlex® cables, which are pre-installed and tested in Bluefors’ cryogenic measurement systems. This solution provides up to 50% more channels per side-loading port to Bluefors systems, for a total of 1,536 input or control lines. The two companies have also published a joint research paper validating the technical performance of Cri/oFlex® in Bluefors systems with real qubits.

This collaboration is intended to provide an industrialized, modular solution that allows customers to scale faster and more efficiently. Rob Blaauwgeers, CEO of Bluefors, noted that the partnership allows the companies to provide a complete solution with microwave performance on par with conventional coaxial solutions, but with superior thermal performance. Daan Kuitenbrouwer, co-founder of Delft Circuits, added that the partnership allows them to bring their technology to a wider customer base and is a step in industrializing quantum I/O at scale.
