IonQ and General Dynamics Information Technology Partner to Advance Quantum Solutions for Government and Defense Customers in the U.S.

IonQ and General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) have announced a partnership to develop quantum computing and networking solutions for government and defense applications. The collaboration will integrate IonQ’s quantum technology with GDIT’s expertise in mission-critical government solutions, targeting use cases such as quantum AI extensions, resource optimization, and anomaly detection.

This partnership builds on prior work the two companies performed together with a major intelligence agency and aligns with IonQ’s continued expansion in the federal sector. Some of the problems they intend to work on going forward include improving spatial data analysis, enhancing fraud and anomaly detection, optimizing supply chains and logistics, and advancing health research by modeling complex biological systems

The collaboration aims to accelerate quantum adoption in government sectors, reinforcing IonQ’s position in quantum computing and GDIT’s role in delivering next-generation technology solutions for critical mission needs.
