L&T-Cloudfiniti and QpiAI Partner to Advance Scalable AI-Quantum Solutions under India’s National Quantum Mission

L&T-Cloudfiniti and QpiAI have announced a strategic partnership to deliver Quantum Computing as a Service (QCaaS), combining hyperscale cloud infrastructure with QpiAI’s superconducting quantum processors. The collaboration supports India’s National Quantum Mission and will initially leverage Indus, QpiAI’s 25-qubit quantum computer, followed by a 256-qubit machine under development. QpiAI also disclosed plans for a future fault-tolerant platform with 100 logical qubits. These systems are vertically integrated with QpiAI’s proprietary software stack, targeting near-term commercial and industrial workloads.

The partnership will enable quantum computing services across domains such as finance, healthcare, and logistics. L&T-Cloudfiniti will host QpiAI’s hardware-accelerated workloads using its colocation and GPU cloud infrastructure, offering enterprise access to quantum algorithms through cloud-native orchestration. Joint R&D initiatives are planned to focus on hybrid AI-quantum solutions for optimization, data analysis, and inference workloads. The integration of scalable qubit architectures with domain-specific AI pipelines marks an important step toward modular, production-aligned quantum infrastructure.

The collaboration also aims to align with the Indian government’s strategic goals to seed and scale quantum research and commercialization. QpiAI is one of eight startups selected under the National Quantum Mission and will contribute hardware and middleware innovations. L&T-Cloudfiniti, a digital infrastructure arm of Larsen & Toubro, will provide deployment and service scaling support across India’s enterprise and public sectors. Both firms are targeting use-case-specific deployments that require low-latency access to mid-scale superconducting systems.
