Nullspace Raises $2.5 Million Seed Round for Quantum and RF Simulation Software

Nullspace, a deep tech company developing electromagnetic simulation software, has announced a $2.5 million seed funding round. The round was led by Fathom Fund, with participation from Golden Seeds LLC and other investors. The funding is intended to expand the engineering team, accelerate product development, and scale go-to-market efforts across markets including quantum computing, aerospace, defense, and AI-enabled hardware.

Nullspace develops enterprise simulation software for both radio frequency (RF) and quantum computing hardware. Its product, Nullspace ES, is described as a commercial tool for the design and analysis of extremely large ion traps for quantum computing architecture. The company’s core technology, developed over a decade through IERUS Technologies, has been tested on various real-world design problems, including ion traps for the U.S. Department of Defense.

The funding will support the development of modern physics simulation tools to address design bottlenecks. Fathom Fund’s Dr. Paul Sheng will join the Nullspace board of directors, along with Dr. Nathan Kundtz as an independent director. The company’s headquarters are in Huntsville, Alabama, and its work is positioned for dual use in both military programs and commercial applications.
