New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), through its Center for Quantum and Topological Systems (CQTS), has partnered with Kipu Quantum to integrate the PLANQK platform, becoming the first Middle Eastern institution to join Kipu’s Quantum Pioneer Program. The collaboration, facilitated by the QInnovision Consortium, will provide NYUAD researchers with access to quantum computing tools, hardware resources, and application-specific algorithms, enhancing their ability to conduct cutting-edge quantum research.
The PLANQK platform enables researchers to test code on quantum and classical hardware, integrate quantum development into existing infrastructures, and benchmark against existing quantum algorithms. With over 600 users from 200 organizations worldwide, PLANQK supports collaborative research and innovation in quantum computing.
This partnership aligns with the UAE’s goal of becoming a global leader in quantum computing. Professor Hisham Sati, Founding Director of CQTS, stated, “This collaboration will empower our researchers with advanced tools, accelerating our efforts to explore the frontiers of quantum science.” The agreement was signed during the Quantum Innovation Summit, organized by the Vernewell Group, highlighting the UAE’s commitment to advancing quantum technologies.
