Pasqal Restructures French Government Collaboration and Secures EIC Recognition Following Nasdaq Debut

Neutral-atom quantum hardware developer Pasqal (NASDAQ: PSQL) has restructured its technology collaboration framework with French public authorities to focus exclusively on civil, commercial-led fault-tolerant quantum computing (FTQC). The pivot includes Pasqal’s planned exit from Phase 2 of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces’ PROQCIMA (LSQUARE) defense initiative, managed by the Direction générale de l’armement (DGA). Having satisfied its Phase 1 technical deliverables, Pasqal was invited by France’s Secrétariat général pour l’investissement (SGPI) and Direction générale des entreprises (DGE) to submit a dedicated civil R&D proposal tailored to its commercial neutral-atom QPU roadmap.

The government restructuring aligns with Pasqal’s post-listing corporate strategy following its August 28 Nasdaq debut (PSQL), transitioning the vendor from restrictive defense procurement tracks toward unconstrained commercial enterprise deployments. The civil FTQC proposal will focus on scaling neutral-atom array control, logical qubit error correction protocols, and algorithmic compilation across Pasqal’s commercial customer base, which includes Saudi Aramco, Crédit Agricole CIB, and LG Electronics.

Parallel to its domestic realignment, Pasqal received an EIC Fund Award at the 2026 TechEU Equity Summit in Luxembourg, organized by the European Investment Bank (EIB). The award highlights Pasqal as a landmark success for the European Innovation Council Fund, marking its transition from an early-stage European deep-tech startup into a publicly traded quantum computer manufacturer. The institutional recognition underscores Europe’s effort to retain and scale sovereign quantum champions while opening access to global capital markets.
