PQShield Launches UltraPQ-Suite for Specialized Post-Quantum Cryptography Implementations

PQShield has announced the launch of its UltraPQ-Suite, a comprehensive product range offering deeply specialized implementations of post-quantum cryptography (PQC) optimized for a post-standards world. The UltraPQ-Suite addresses critical challenges faced by manufacturers and developers during the global transition to quantum-safe security, offering solutions that prioritize performance, security, or footprint according to application needs. The first product introduced under this suite, PQPlatform-TrustSys, delivers a quantum-safe Root of Trust for ASIC and FPGA hardware to achieve compliance with new regulations such as the NSA’s CNSA 2.0.

The UltraPQ-Suite is organized into three pillars: ultra fast, ultra secure, and ultra small. Ultra fast solutions, led by PQPerform-Lattice, aim to optimize key encapsulations and maintain strong latency performance for network applications. Ultra secure implementations, including PQPlatform-TrustSys, are designed to resist sophisticated side-channel and fault injection attacks, supporting critical infrastructure and long-lifecycle devices. Ultra small offerings, such as PQCryptoLib-Embedded, target memory-constrained embedded systems and IoT devices, enabling efficient PQC integration in environments like smart meters and industrial controls.

PQPlatform-TrustSys introduces a PQC-first Root of Trust architecture specifically designed for secure boot, secure update, and lifecycle key management in quantum-vulnerable hardware. The product emphasizes minimal integration effort for compliance with evolving standards, including NIST’s phased transition plan and the complete phase-out of RSA for secure boot by 2035. PQPlatform-TrustSys features comprehensive key origin and permission tracking across cryptographic operations, ensuring resilience even in scenarios where the host system is compromised.

The UltraPQ-Suite leverages PQShield’s direct contributions to global PQC standards development, alongside its expertise in cryptographic hardware and software security. All solutions within the suite align with key certification regimes such as FIPS 140-3, Common Criteria, SESIP, and PSA. PQShield’s recent development of a silicon test chip validates the feasibility of delivering quantum-safe modules with first-time-right hardware performance, supporting practical and scalable deployment across the Cloud, Edge, and Government sectors.

PQShield executives emphasized that 2025 marks a critical inflection point, where the focus shifts from standardization to large-scale implementation. CEO Ali El Kaafarani and VP of Product Dr. Axel Poschmann highlighted the importance of providing flexible, crypto-agile solutions to manufacturers tasked with safeguarding the next generation of digital infrastructure. The UltraPQ-Suite aims to meet this need by enabling faster and more secure adoption of PQC across global supply chains.
