Andrew White from the quantum technology laboratory at the University of Queensland, Australia, maintains an excellent web page listing conferences related to quantum technology around the world. You can find his most recent listing for 2019 conferences here.
In addition to the conferences shown on the list mentioned above, here are some additional conferences:
The TQC 2019 + NISQ conferences will be held on June 3-7, 2019 at the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. The Theory of Quantum Computation, Communication and Cryptography (TQC) is a leading annual international conference for students and researchers working in the theoretical aspects of quantum information science and will occur on June 3-5. The scientific objective is to bring together the theoretical quantum information science community to present and discuss the latest advances in the field. It will be immediately followed on June 6-7 by a two-day workshop on Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum (NISQ) Technologies. The workshop will bring together top experts on the subject of near-term quantum computation and provide a platform for the wider research community to engage in discussions about the near-term applications of quantum computers.
The Quantum Physics and Logic 2019 (QPL2019) conference will be held on June 10-14, 2019 at Chapman University in Orange, California. This conference brings together researchers working on mathematical foundations of quantum physics, quantum computing, and related areas, with a focus on structural perspectives and the use of logical tools, ordered algebraic and category-theoretic structures, formal languages, semantical methods, and other computer science techniques applied to the study of physical behavior in general.
An International Quantum Computing Business Conference sponsored by Bpifrance will be held on June 20, 2019 in Paris, France. Additional organizers including Atos, IBM and Quantonation. The event will include round tables, keynotes and company pitches to explore the progress made recently by Quantum Computing leading stakeholders and to foresee the upcoming real-world applications. This is an invitation only event so attendees must register to confirm their participation.
The 1st International Workshop on Quantum Resource Estimation (QRE2019) will be held on June 22, 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona. This workshop covers the emerging field of Quantum Resource Estimation (QRE), benchmarking and performance analytics with participation anticipated from those working in quantum algorithm optimization, error-correction, architecture design, quantum compilation, classical control and resource benchmarking.
The 2019 Adiabatic Quantum Computing Conference (AQC 2019) will be held on June 24-28, 2019 in Innsbruck, Austria. This will be the 8th annual meeting of this conference which brings together researchers from different communities to explore using adiabatic quantum computing and quantum annealing to solve combinatorial optimization and sampling problems. Several efforts are now underway to manufacture processors that implement these strategies. The goal of the conference is to initiate a dialogue on the challenges that must be overcome to realize useful adiabatic quantum computations in existing or near-term hardware.
A free webinar on Quantum Computing Basics presented by Dr. Jonathan Dowling, Professor of Theoretical Physics at Louisiana State University, will occur on June 27, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM EDT. The seminar will examine the quantum computing strategies of both big names and pure play firms working in the field. The seminar will also cover the development of chip technology at the core of quantum computers, the delivery of quantum computing power to the end user—clouds or in-house machines, and application and industry sector pioneers who are using quantum computing. QCrypt 2019 will be held in Montreal, Canada on August 26-30, 2019. This conference is for students and researchers working on all aspects of quantum cryptography and includes theoretical and experimental research on the possibilities and limitations of secure communication and computation with quantum mechanical devices or in the presence of quantum mechanical devices. The goal of the conference to represent the previous year’s best results on quantum cryptography and to support the building of a research community in quantum cryptography.
The Quantum.Tech conference and exhibition will be held in Boston, Massachusetts on September 10-11, 2019 to cover the emerging commercial applications of quantum technologies. Tackling the spectrum of quantum technology, from quantum computing to sensing & metrology and secure communications & cryptography, this global forum will help Fortune 1000 enterprises understand and navigate the quantum landscape, assess risks and opportunities, and help senior executives build a roadmap for quantum readiness.
The European Quantum Community Meeting 2019 will be held in Helsinki, Finland on October 17-18, 2019. The two day event will be dedicated to the Quantum Technology community, the Quantum Flagship as well as setting the Strategic Research Agenda, which will be presented and discussed among the community attending the event.
