Who’s News: Management Updates at Q-CTRL, QuSecure, Diraq, SemiQon, and Photonic Inc.

Q-CTRL announced that Damien Metcalf has stepped into the role of Vice President of Marketing and Design. Metcalf, who previously served as Head of Design for seven years, will now lead the company’s global brand and product engagement, further shaping its digital products and sensing hardware. QuSecure has appointed Gregory Donovan as its new Vice President of Revenue. Donovan brings extensive experience in enterprise and global sales within the cybersecurity industry, with previous roles at Keyfactor, Cognition, ScentAir, ADP, and SAP/Fieldglass. Professor Bartlett, a world-renowned quantum information theorist and Director of Sydney Nano, will provide high-level strategic and technical direction in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architecture design. SemiQon announced the appointment of Dr. Antti Vasara as Chair of its Board of Directors. Dr. Vasara, former President and CEO of VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, brings extensive experience in driving science-based innovation and commercialization of new technologies. Additionally, Prof. Alex van Someren has been appointed as a Strategic Advisor, contributing decades of experience in national security, deep tech venture capital, and cybersecurity.
