Who’s News: Strategic Appointments at Pasqal, PsiQuantum, and Haiqu

Pasqal has appointed Mark Armstrong as Chief Commercial Officer for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and the Asia-Pacific region (APAC). Armstrong joins from Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), where he served as EMEA Vice President and General Manager for High Performance Computing and AI. In his new role, he will oversee Pasqal’s commercial strategy, enterprise sales execution, and customer expansion across energy, financial services, and advanced materials sectors. PsiQuantum has expanded its executive leadership team with multiple senior appointments. Victor Peng has been officially named Chief Executive Officer, following his interim appointment to the role in February. Concurrently, Robert Soderbery has joined the company as Executive Vice President to manage the engineering and operational deployment of its silicon photonics platform across advanced computing and AI networking applications. Soderbery previously served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Flash Business at Western Digital. Additionally, Sriram Sitaraman, former Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Synopsys, has been appointed as Chief Information Officer to direct global information technology strategy, security, and digital transformation systems. Haiqu has appointed Denise Ruffner as Vice President, Business Development and Commercial Operations Worldwide. Ruffner is a commercial strategist with prior executive experience at IBM Quantum, Cambridge Quantum Computing (now Quantinuum), IonQ, and Atom Computing. She will lead global business development and market adoption strategies for Haiqu’s newly launched Agentic Operating System, a hardware-agnostic software framework designed to manage and optimize quantum R&D applications.
