Quantum Experts Unite for Eurostars Project ‘SupremeQ’ to Advance Photonic Quantum Computing

ORCA Computing, Pixel Photonics, Sparrow Quantum, and the Niels Bohr Institute (NBI) have announced their collaboration on the Eurostars project ‘SupremeQ,’ aimed at accelerating the development and commercialization of photonic quantum computing technologies. Supported by Eurostars funding, the project will leverage single-photon sources from Sparrow Quantum and NBI, single-photon detectors from Pixel Photonics, and full-stack photonic quantum computing system architecture from ORCA Computing.

The consortium aims to drive breakthrough innovation in photonic quantum computing, addressing key challenges such as system engineering for scale and high acquisition costs. The project targets pioneering solutions for performance, packaging, and system integration, with the ultimate goal of achieving universal fault-tolerant quantum computing. Consortium partners express confidence that the SupremeQ solutions will generate considerable interest, driving diverse applications and accelerating the adoption of quantum technologies across industries.
