Quantum Machines Empowers SKKU’s Quantum Computing Lab with OPX1000 Controllers

Quantum Machines (QM) has announced the deployment of three OPX1000 controllers at the Quantum Computing lab of the Advanced Institute of Nano Technology at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in Seoul. This deployment signifies a significant enhancement to the center’s research capabilities as part of South Korea’s national initiative to advance quantum computing. The OPX1000 controllers, known for their modular design and high-density quantum control capabilities, will play a pivotal role in SKKU’s ongoing projects, particularly in developing, characterizing, and testing novel architectures for the Korean quantum computer.

Professor Yonuk Chong, head of SKKU’s quantum computing lab and Director of the Quantum Information Research Support Center (QCenter), expressed enthusiasm for the upgrade, emphasizing its importance in achieving long-term goals in quantum computing research and infrastructure. Itamar Sivan, CEO of Quantum Machines, highlighted South Korea’s commitment to quantum research and development, recognizing the strategic significance of the QCenter’s upgrade in contributing to global advancements in quantum computing.
