SandboxAQ Joins Chicago Quantum Exchange as Corporate Partner to Advance Quantum Sensing and Education

SandboxAQ, an enterprise B2B company focused on AI and quantum technology, has joined the Chicago Quantum Exchange (CQE) as a corporate partner. The Palo Alto-based firm, which spun off from Alphabet Inc. in 2022, provides solutions in post-quantum cryptography, quantum sensing, and simulation & optimization for sectors including financial services, healthcare, cybersecurity, and telecommunications.

The collaboration will emphasize quantum sensing efforts at the University of Chicago-based National Science Foundation Quantum Leap Challenge Institute for Quantum Sensing for Biophysics and Bioengineering (QuBBE). Additionally, SandboxAQ and CQE will work on recruiting, education, and training initiatives.

David Awschalom, director of CQE, highlighted the partnership’s potential to revolutionize various industries and build an inclusive, sustainable quantum workforce. Paul Alivisatos, President of the University of Chicago, praised SandboxAQ for its contributions to AI and quantum applications and educational opportunities.

SandboxAQ engages with universities to develop AQ curriculum, bootcamps, and certification programs, and supports faculty research and graduate-level residency programs through its SandboxAQ Academy.
