Singtel Expands Quantum-Safe Network with Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet Integration

Singtel has announced enhancements to its Quantum-Safe Network (QSN), integrating quantum-safe encryption solutions from Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet. These additions aim to bolster enterprise defenses against quantum-based cyber threats by incorporating post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) technologies. Palo Alto Networks will deploy its quantum-resistant VPN for secure data transmission, while Fortinet will support QSN with PQC software and hardware encryptors, strengthening cybersecurity across various enterprise applications.

The partnerships align with Singapore’s nationwide QSN development initiative, launched by Singtel with ID Quantique. This network integrates PQC and quantum-physics-based security to protect against evolving quantum threats. ID Quantique’s Clarion KX platform also enables hybrid cryptographic solutions, offering enterprises a cost-effective, quantum-resilient system for secure data exchange.

Singtel has further collaborated with industry leaders Cisco, Fortinet, and Nokia to equip its QSN with additional cybersecurity infrastructure, enabling enterprises to safeguard critical data and scale defenses against future threats. This ongoing expansion reflects Singtel’s commitment to a robust, adaptable security ecosystem as quantum computing capabilities advance.
