Who’s News: Management Updates at QuEra, Oxford Quantum Circuits, and Nord Quantique

Andy Ory has been named acting CEO at QuEra while the board searches for a permanent replacement. He succeeds Alex Keesling who will take on a new role within the company. Dr. Keesling will be focusing his efforts on building up the company’s production capabilities and drive the company to achieve the aggressive roadmap that it announced in January. Mr. Ory has extensive startup experience and was a co-founder at 128 Technology, Acme Packet, and Priority Call Management. Oxford Quantum Circuits has added Nick Dixon-Clegg to its Board of Directors. Mr. Dixon-Clegg is Head of Investments at Oxford Scientific Enterprises and has considerable finance experience including serving as a Board Director at over a dozen companies. Financial institutions he has worked at include Nordic Capital and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. A LinkedIn post announcing his joining the company’s board is available here.

Nord Quantique has expanded its management team and three individuals have new roles within the company. Philippe St-Jean, who previously was the CEO, now moves into the position of Chief Business Officer (CBO) with a focus on building new partnerships. Julien Camirand Lemyre, who had been the CTO, now becomes the position of CEO. And Marc-Antoine Lemonde, who previously was the Vice-President of Theory and Simulation, has been named the new CTO. Dr. St-Jean and Dr. Lemyre were co-founders of the company when it was formed in 2020. Dr. Lemonde joined the company in 2021. A news release announcing these changes is available here.
