Xanadu Becomes First Canadian Partner to Join Chicago Quantum Exchange

Xanadu, a Toronto-based quantum computing company, has become the first Canadian corporate partner to join the Chicago Quantum Exchange (CQE). Founded in 2016, Xanadu specializes in photonic quantum computing and leads the development of PennyLane, an open-source software library for quantum programming. Xanadu collaborates with academic institutions and research labs to advance quantum education. The company’s mission aligns with the CQE’s goal to advance quantum information science and engineering.

By joining the CQE, Xanadu aims to empower the next generation of quantum programmers and drive applied research for practical quantum computing solutions. Additionally, Xanadu’s involvement extends to The Bloch Quantum initiative, a multisector coalition aimed at developing quantum technology solutions. The CQE, based at the University of Chicago and anchored by several renowned institutions, is one of the largest collaborative teams in quantum research worldwide.
