Orange Quantum Systems (OrangeQS) has advanced its roadmap to cater to the burgeoning industrial quantum chip production market, as evidenced by the initial sale of its OrangeQS Industry System to a full-stack quantum computing company. Shipments to first customers is scheduled to start in Q4 of this year. This system is designed to facilitate the testing of 100+ qubit quantum chips, streamlining the chip development process through automated testing at scale. Rather than requiring a new chip to be tested in a full quantum processor, this system will allow the new chip to be tested in this test system at a faster rate, lower cost, and less labor intensity.
This move underscores the evolving landscape of quantum technology towards fully-automated processes tailored for industrial application, marking a significant transition from manual to automated processes. The development of the OrangeQS Industry System reflects the growing maturity of the quantum technology sector, aligning with the industry’s shift towards industrialized production of quantum chips. With the first customer already secured, OrangeQS is poised to contribute to the acceleration of quantum chip development and production, laying the groundwork for future industrial applications of quantum computing technology.
