BTQ Technologies Corp. (BTQ) (CBOE CA: BTQ, FSE: NG3, OTCQX: BTQQF) has announced the launch of Léonne, a novel blockchain consensus framework. Léonne is designed to overcome core limitations of existing distributed ledger technologies, specifically addressing the trade-offs between scalability, security, and decentralization, often referred to as the “blockchain trilemma.”

Léonne introduces Topological Consensus Networks and a trust-based partitioning system called Proof-of-Consensus. This approach dynamically restructures blockchain networks based on mathematically defined trust relationships between nodes, utilizing advanced network theory and persistent homology to optimize network stability. The framework integrates Quantum Random Number Generation (QRNG), Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), and quantum-enhanced trust matrices to ensure information-theoretic security. The network partitioning algorithm operates with linear algorithmic complexity O(|V|+|E|), enabling high throughput across large numbers of nodes.

Léonne’s modular architecture supports integration with existing blockchain platforms and emerging quantum hardware. It aims for energy efficiency by eliminating computationally expensive proof-of-work calculations and is designed to preserve decentralization by preventing disproportionate influence accumulation through its trust-based approach and quantum randomness. The integration of quantum technologies throughout the system provides inherent protection against quantum attacks.

This framework is positioned to meet the security demands of future distributed systems, aligning with accelerating institutional and government interest in blockchain across finance, healthcare, and supply chain. BTQ Technologies plans to engage with industry partners, academic collaborators, and select clients to deploy Léonne across test environments and pilot programs in the second half of 2025.
