Delta.g, a UK-based quantum technology company, has raised £4.6 million ($6.17 miliion USD) in a seed round to accelerate the development and deployment of its quantum gravity sensing platform. The round was led by Serendipity Capital with participation from NSSIF and existing investor SCVC.
The company’s quantum sensor is a gravity gradiometer that has been tested on land and at sea and is designed to provide spatial intelligence for infrastructure, discovery, and navigation. The technology was developed at the UK Quantum Technology Hub for Sensors and Timing and spun out of the University of Birmingham. Its applications include subsurface imaging, GPS-free navigation, and environmental monitoring.
The capital will be used to expand Delta.g’s technical team and manufacturing capacity, as well as to deliver field systems through pilot deployments with government and commercial partners, including the UK Department for Transport. The funding is positioned as a signal of growing momentum for quantum sensing as a practical tool and as a proof point of UK leadership in quantum and dual-use technologies.
