Partisia, a cryptographic software company, and Squareroot8, a quantum-safe hardware company, have announced the launch of FracQtion, a jointly developed product for post-quantum security. The product is designed to protect high-trust industries such as finance and telecoms from quantum computing threats, and its launch marks the formal signing of a Joint Product Agreement between the two firms.
The core of FracQtion is a hybrid network that combines Partisia’s Multi-Party Computation (MPC) with Squareroot8’s hardware, which includes a Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD). This hybrid approach uses a process called “data fractioning” to split and distribute sensitive data across a secure network, ensuring no single party holds the complete information. The resulting solution is a quantum-resistant communication network that enables institutions to secure sensitive data without replacing existing systems.
Early pilot deployments are underway with financial institutions in Singapore and Europe. The collaboration is intended to provide a modular pathway to quantum resilience and to enhance Singapore’s role as a quantum innovation hub, aligning with Singapore’s National Quantum Strategy (NQS). The launch also expands Partisia’s presence into Singapore’s strategic digital infrastructure landscape.
