European photonic quantum computing developer Quandela has announced two strategic international partnerships: a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with South Korea’s Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB) to accelerate drug discovery, and a two-year MoU with FPT Corporation to build out Vietnam’s quantum ecosystem.
Signed in Paris during South Korean President Lee Jae-myung’s state visit, the agreement with KRIBB focuses on developing hybrid computing workflows that combine artificial intelligence, classical computing, and photonic quantum computing. The initiative addresses high-dimensional biological optimization tasks, including Targeted Protein Degradation (TPD) for PROTAC candidates, cellular therapy design, therapeutic target identification for rare diseases, and gene regulatory network analysis.
In parallel, Quandela’s two-year partnership with FPT Corporation—Vietnam’s largest IT services provider—establishes a collaborative framework spanning quantum algorithm development, cloud access to Quandela’s photonic systems, and educational integration across FPT’s university networks.

The partnerships support Quandela’s strategy of deploying hybrid photonic QPUs as specialized accelerators within international high-performance computing centers and enterprise cloud networks.
