European photonic quantum computing company Quandela and Vietnamese quantum startup Quanova have announced a partnership to deploy Vietnam’s first physical quantum computer—a Quandela MosaiQ photonic system—at Quang Trung University (QTU) in Quy Nhơn, Gia Lai, Vietnam.
Supported by Nam A Bank, the deployment serves as the anchor hardware for a new Quantum Research, Innovation, Service, and Entrepreneurship (quantum-RISE) program and the launching of the Quantum Innovator Residency Program. The project represents the first France–Vietnam quantum computing collaboration, expanding upon the bilateral strategic framework established in Paris during the France–Vietnam Leaders Forum between French President Emmanuel Macron and General Secretary President Tô Lâm.

The on-premises MosaiQ installation will provide Vietnamese researchers and students with direct access to photonic QPU processing, supplemented by faculty training programs, dedicated university curricula, and software environments designed to build local workforce capacity in quantum software, algorithms, and photometrics.
