SEETEL New Energy Co., Ltd., Aegis Critical Energy Defence Corp., and Quantum eMotion Corp. have announced the expansion of their strategic partnership to integrate quantum-secured cybersecurity into Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The collaboration addresses the “Harvest Now, Decrypt Later” threat by embedding quantum-level encryption directly into the physical architecture of power grids. The unified “Quantum-Safe BESS” platform is designed for mission-critical applications, including defense, AI data centers, utilities, and remote microgrids.

The partnership integrates three distinct technical layers:

  • SEETEL New Energy (7740.TW): Oversees global manufacturing and provides the modular lithium battery hardware and supply chain infrastructure.
  • Aegis Critical Energy Defence (CSE: QESS): Delivers advanced Energy Management Systems (EMS) and microgrid integration for harsh environments.
  • Quantum eMotion (NYSE: QNC): Integrates its patented Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) technology to secure data and communications against emerging quantum threats.

From Prototyping to Global Deployment

The initiative expands upon an October 2025 collaboration that launched a 261-kWh plug-and-play BESS platform. Following successful inspections of SEETEL’s production facilities in Taiwan, the partners have validated the integration of QRNG-secured EMS across multiple storage solutions. The alliance is now shifting focus toward fulfilling initial U.S. orders and pursuing NATO-aligned infrastructure requirements and government procurement opportunities in North America.

Strategic Positioning for Defense and AI

With the rapid growth of energy-intensive AI computing and the increasing frequency of cyber-warfare targeting national grids, the partners are positioning this platform as essential sovereign infrastructure. Ramtin Rasoulinezhad, CEO of Aegis, emphasized that the collaboration provides the resiliency required for critical infrastructure, while Quantum eMotion noted the direct integration of encryption into hardware as a vital step for national security. The alliance leverages Aegis’s experience in Canadian Indigenous procurement and Quantum eMotion’s global presence to support the next generation of secure energy infrastructure.
