Quantum infrastructure developer BTQ Technologies Corp. (Nasdaq: BTQ / Cboe CA: BTQ) has entered into a strategic collaboration with Texas-based power generation and data center developer TIDAL PWR. The partnership focuses on building a standardized, repeatable blueprint for integrating quantum processing units (QPUs) and post-quantum security protocols directly into next-generation AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) data center infrastructure.

The collaboration aims to address a critical operational bottleneck: as AI workloads and quantum systems begin to converge within shared physical facilities, data center operators require defined technical, power, and procurement standards to integrate quantum systems safely without treating them as open-ended research projects.

Establishing Procurement and Crypto-Agility Standards

Rather than focusing solely on hardware execution, the joint initiative targets the operational layer that sits between raw quantum research and commercial real estate buildouts. BTQ will lead the solutions architecture, providing a technical framework to guide operators on how to procure, secure, and deploy quantum hardware alongside classical compute stacks.

Key workstreams defined in the collaboration include:

  • Procurement and Supply Chain Criteria: Establishing trusted vendor assessment guidelines for chips, devices, and physical hardware components to guard against supply chain vulnerabilities.
  • Crypto-Agile Architectural Standards: Formulating security frameworks that integrate post-quantum cryptography (PQC) to protect sensitive AI training models, inference traffic, and enterprise data pathways from future quantum decryption risks.
  • Facility Integration Roadmaps: Designing thermal, power, and structural integration guidelines tailored for quantum platforms—including BTQ’s full-stack neutral-atom quantum computing development track.

Bridging Power Infrastructure and Advanced Computing Requirements

Power availability remains one of the primary growth constraints for large-scale AI data center developments. TIDAL PWR specializes in developing reliable power generation and scalable physical data center footprints to support high-density computational demands. By pairing TIDAL PWR’s power and site development capabilities with BTQ’s quantum security and systems architecture, the companies plan to establish a repeatable deployment model for hyperscalers, managed service providers, and enterprise facility operators.

The initial phase will focus on joint architecture and technical planning, establishing a foundational reference framework before expanding into deeper commercial and facility-specific deployment projects.
