Quantum technology provider BTQ Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: BTQ) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ITCENGLOBAL CO., Ltd. (KOSDAQ: 124500) through its listed security platform subsidiary, ITCEN PNS Co., Ltd. (KOSDAQ: 232830). The partnership establishes a commercial framework to integrate post-quantum cryptography (PQC), quantum-safe authentication, and hardware-rooted security architectures across South Korea’s financial, public-sector, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
ITCENGLOBAL is one of South Korea’s largest IT services conglomerates, operating ~20 subsidiaries across public-sector systems integration, cloud, and finance, reporting FY2025 consolidated revenues of KRW 8.9 trillion (~$6.0 billion USD). Its security arm, ITCEN PNS (formerly Secucen), supplies biometric authentication, digital signatures, and electronic banking security to major Korean banks and insurers.

The collaboration leverages regulatory and technical milestones achieved by ITCEN PNS in South Korea:
- KCMVP Validation: In July 2026, ITCEN PNS secured validation under Korea’s National Cryptographic Module Validation Program (KCMVP)—a mandatory requirement for supplying encryption into public institutions—for a hybrid module integrating classical public-key algorithms with NIST-standardized PQC (including ML-KEM for key encapsulation).
- KPQC & Zero Trust Deployment: ITCEN PNS actively participates in national KPQC (Korean Post-Quantum Cryptography) standardization efforts and spearheaded Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) Zero Trust pilot programs across commercial banking environments.
- Target Commercial Domains: The joint initiative will test, integrate, and commercialize BTQ’s post-quantum software algorithms and hardware-rooted security architectures across financial transaction networks, digital identity frameworks, biometric security platforms, and public-sector cloud infrastructure.
Led by BTQ CEO and Chairman Olivier Roussy Newton and ITCEN PNS CEO Won-gyu Park, the agreement expands BTQ’s strategic footprint in South Korea, connecting its cryptographic IP directly into national deployment channels.
