
The BWT Alpine Formula One Team and post-quantum technology developer SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES) have expanded their technological partnership to deploy hybrid quantum-classical simulation capabilities within Formula One engineering. Building on the cybersecurity baseline established during their November 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix partnership launch, the expanded collaboration integrates quantum solvers developed by Paris-based deeptech firm ColibriTD—a portfolio company of SEALSQ’s $200 million Quantum Fund.
The joint technical initiative applies ColibriTD’s proprietary Hybrid Differential Equation Solver (H-DES) and hardware-agnostic MPQP workflow platform directly to complex physics equations in racing car development. Engineered to operate alongside existing classical high-performance computing (HPC) clusters rather than replacing them, H-DES solves target differential equations in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), thermal management, structural analysis, and multiphysics modeling. Following an initial roadmap milestone meeting at Alpine’s Enstone headquarters in July 2026, the technical teams are developing a proof of concept (PoC) to maximize simulation accuracy under strict FIA computing budget regulations.
By pairing ColibriTD’s hybrid algorithmic solvers with SEALSQ’s post-quantum semiconductor protection, the project demonstrates an operational deployment of SEALSQ’s “Quantum Vertical Sovereign Stack”. The combined architecture secures intellectual property and sensor telemetry via post-quantum cryptography (PQC) while accelerating multiphysics design iterations ahead of Formula One’s major 2026 technical rule reset.
The expansion reflects SEALSQ’s broader strategy of deploying capital from its $200 million Quantum Fund—which has allocated over $60 million to date—to link strategic equity investments directly with commercial revenue opportunities. In addition to ColibriTD, SEALSQ’s portfolio includes silicon spin-qubit developer Quobly, following a lead investment in Quobly’s €115 million Series A round. That equity stake translated into a $5 million commercial contract for SEALSQ to supply Cryo-CMOS ASICs, hardware Root-of-Trust chips, and PQC layers for Quobly’s Alloy Pioneer QPU. Furthermore, Quobly’s recent industrial characterization agreements with TNO and Orange Quantum Systems provide additional validation of SEALSQ’s sovereign hardware stack.
