Aerospace and defense engineering contractor Davidson and quantum orchestration platform Strangeworks have announced a strategic collaboration focused on quantum-enabled optimization for military mission planning. Unveiled at the 2026 Space and Missile Defense Symposium in Huntsville, Alabama, the joint initiative focuses on applying hybrid quantum, quantum-inspired, and high-performance classical algorithms to solve defense logistics, tactical resource allocation, and operational readiness challenges.
The partnership bridges Davidson’s 30-year domain expertise in missile defense, electronic warfare, and cyber engineering with Strangeworks’ heterogeneous computing and optimization platform. Over the coming weeks, the companies will launch a proof-of-concept initiative to formulate operationally relevant defense problem sets and benchmark advanced computational solvers against legacy classical baselines.
