Orientom, a quantum financial technology company, has begun expanding into Southeast Asia, following its attendance at the Thailand Quantum Summit 2025 in Bangkok. The event, which ran from August 3-5, was organized to foster collaboration and develop a quantum technology ecosystem. At the summit, Orientom presented a session introducing its financial quantum technology under development.

During the session, Orientom outlined the status of its quantum finance algorithm development and discussed use cases. According to Jeong Ho Chu, Chief Financial Officer at Orientom, quantum algorithms can enable real-time pricing and risk analysis for complex structured notes by processing high-dimensional probability modeling and calculations, such as Monte Carlo simulation and the Finite Difference Method for the Black-Scholes model, with improved computational speed. The company’s technology is intended for the valuation of derivatives and structured notes.

Orientom CEO Alfred Bang commented that the summit provided opportunities for collaboration and expansion into Thailand and the Asia-Pacific region, supporting the company’s efforts to contribute to a global quantum ecosystem. The event was hosted by the Quantum Technology Research Initiative (QTRI), with official sponsors including the Thailand Quantum Technology Research Initiative Consortium (QTRic), the Program Management Unit-B (PMU-B), and the National Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation Policy Board (NXPO).
