Post-quantum digital asset security provider Project Eleven has introduced Strongpoint, an institutional custody platform engineered to provide a crypto-agile control layer as underlying blockchain networks transition to post-quantum cryptographic standards. The Zcash Foundation has joined as an initial development partner, contributing expertise in privacy-preserving cryptography, zero-knowledge proofs, and shielded key management to inform the platform’s institutional architecture.
Project Eleven’s analysis of the 20 largest Layer 1 (L1) blockchain networks by market capitalization reveals a fragmented migration landscape. Only 10 of these networks have published technical proposals, roadmaps, or implementation paths for post-quantum migration, spanning at least six distinct post-quantum signature schemes. Strongpoint addresses this coordination bottleneck by decoupling key management, transaction approval, and audit workflows from the underlying signature schemes, providing institutions with a crypto-agile control layer that adapts as networks update their cryptographic primitives.
| [ Project Eleven Strongpoint Architecture & Zcash Integration Parameters ] | ||
|---|---|---|
| Architectural Layer | Technical Mechanism & Cryptographic Engine | Institutional Security & Operational Impact |
| • Crypto-Agile Policy Engine | • Policy-driven cryptographic binding • Scheme swaps via configuration update | • Snapshots active policy into signed payloads; maintains long-term signature verification without system rebuilds |
| • Hardware & Key Governance | • FIPS 140-3 Level 3 Hardware Security Modules • M-of-N quorum approval & tamper-evident logs | • Long-lived classical and post-quantum keys remain in protected hardware HSM boundaries without plaintext exposure |
| • Cryptographic Support | • Classical (ECDSA), NIST PQC (ML-DSA), and stateful hash-based (XMSS) schemes | • Composability by default; supports hybrid signatures across classical and lattice/hash-based primitives |
| • Zcash Shielded Integration | • Protocol engineering for shielded ZEC • Zero-knowledge key management rules | • Informs how Strongpoint maintains privacy-preserving constraints alongside evolving post-quantum signature standards |
Strongpoint is targeted for production deployment in Q4 2026. The platform’s commercial rollout builds upon Project Eleven’s $20 million Series A financing completed in January 2026 and its acquisition of Riva Labs in September 2026 to integrate post-quantum Multi-Party Computation (MPC) and automated cryptanalysis into its enterprise product suite.
