QUDORA, a developer of trapped-ion quantum computing systems, and Norma Inc., a quantum security and computing company based in Seoul, have announced a strategic partnership. The collaboration is intended to accelerate trapped-ion quantum computing adoption across South Korea’s quantum ecosystem, including academia, government, and enterprise sectors.
The partnership agreement, signed in September 2025, establishes a framework designed to drive ecosystem expansion for QUDORA’s trapped-ion quantum computing systems. The partnership will deliver quantum education and technology adoption programs through joint seminars, exhibitions, and technical workshops. It will also work to identify strategic opportunities within Korea’s national R&D initiatives and public procurement processes. Norma Inc. recently launched a quantum cloud service connected to the Q Platform, which provides access to four real machines based on superconducting and ion-trap technologies.
This partnership is positioned to capitalize on Korea’s growing quantum technology investments, particularly in the semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, and automotive sectors. Amado Bautista-Salvador, CEO of QUDORA, noted that the collaboration complements the company’s regional expansion strategy, building on a recent strategic partnership with Kensho in Taiwan. This collaboration is an example of European-Asian quantum technology collaboration, bringing together German quantum innovation with Korean market expertise and industrial leadership.
