Quobly, a French pioneer in silicon-based quantum computing, and Entropica Labs, a Singapore-based quantum software firm, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to co-design fault-tolerant quantum systems. The agreement, signed in Singapore, marks a strategic expansion for Quobly as it establishes the city-state as its regional hub for Asian deployment. The partnership focuses on integrating Entropica Labs’ software stack—specifically its advanced compiler and optimization technologies—directly with Quobly’s silicon spin-qubit architecture from the early stages of system design.
The collaboration aims to address the critical transition from laboratory prototypes to industrial-grade, fault-tolerant quantum computers (FTQC). By utilizing a hardware-software co-design approach, the teams will develop specialized quantum error correction (QEC) protocols tailored to the constraints of semiconductor-based processors. This technical alignment is intended to optimize orchestration and orchestration software, ensuring that future silicon quantum systems are operationally ready for large-scale, real-world applications in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
Quobly is currently advancing its Q100T program, supported by €40 million in funding and a strategic partnership with STMicroelectronics to leverage existing CMOS manufacturing processes. Entropica Labs contributes its expertise in fault-tolerant infrastructure, including architectural frameworks and error-correction orchestration. Together, the companies aim to bridge the gap between quantum physics and microelectronics, utilizing Singapore’s deep-tech ecosystem to accelerate the delivery of scalable, error-corrected quantum computation.
