Rigetti Computing has announced that Dr. Chad Rigetti, the company’s founder, has provided his intent to resign positions as the Company’s President, Chief Executive Officer and Director on the Company’s Board of Directors with an effective date of December 15, 2022. The company has commenced a search for a new CEO and Rick Danis, the company’s General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, will serve as interim President and Chief Executive Officer until a new CEO has been appointed. ColdQuanta has announced several new management appointments. Dr. William Clark is now the Vice President of Quantum Development, Laura Hale as the Vice President of Government Programs, Steve Mathews as the Vice President of Sales & Business Development for Quantum Information Platforms, and Dr. Chris Wood, has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Clark was previously Dr. Clark with the General Dynamics Mission Systems where he was the Founder and Director of the Quantum Laboratory and Quantum Center of Excellence. Ms. Hale was previously the Vice President of Satellite Production at Hedron and has other prior experience at several other defense, aerospace, and government organizations. Mr. Mathews was previously with QC Ware and has previous experience in enterprise sales with several other technology companies. Dr. Wood was previously the company’s Vice President of Photonic Technologies at the ColdQuanta and has other previously experience at several other photonics related companies. And in another announcement of ColdQuanta’s recent $110 million Series B round of funding, Christopher Galvin, former Motorola chairman and CEO, has invested in ColdQuanta and has joined the company’s Board of Directors.

Q-CTRL has named Kelly Gurr as Head of Marketing and Donna Hacker as Head of Finance. Ms. Gurr has experience working for a variety of tech startups in Australia developing solutions for B2B customers. Ms. Hacker has over thirty years serving in a variety of financial related roles in many different industries. She will be based in California. Diraq has named Dr. William Jeffrey as as a non-executive Director and Chairman. He is currently General Partner of Airstream Venture Partners in San Francisco and has previous experience serving as CEO of both SRI International, HRL Laboratories and has also served in positions at the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) as well as the U.S. Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). The UK’s National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC) has appointed Professor Elham Kashefi as its Chief Scientist. She is Professor of Quantum Computing at the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh, and Directeur de recherche au CNRS at LIP6 Sorbonne Universite. Professor Kashefi has been active in quantum technology research for over 20 years and will share her time between her activities at the NQCC and her role as the leader of the Quantum Informatics research group at Edinburgh.
