Zapata Computing has named Charles Kane to its Board of Directors chair the board’s audit committee. He is currently chairman of the One Laptop per Child (OLPC) Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides technology to enhance education in developing countries and was previously CFO at RSA Security, Aspen Technology, and Informix Software. Has held many other executive positions within the technology industry and is also currently a senior lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Bob Sutor has joined ColdQuanta and Vice President of Corporate Development. Sutor joins ColdQuanta after spending 39 years at IBM, most recently as part of the IBM Quantum leadership team and previously within other key positions at IBM Research. Quix Quantum has recruited Dr. -Ing. Stefan Hengesbach as the company’s new CEO. Dr. Hengesbach has more than 10 years of experience in the photonics industry. He previously was the Managing Director of the quantum startup Q.ANT in Stuttgart, Germany and has held positions at TRUMPF Lasertechnik GmbH, Fraunhofer ILT, RWTH Aachen University, and Franuhofer USA. Founder Dr. Hans van den Vlekkert is retiring from the operational side of the business and will remain with the company as a director and shareholder. Quantum Delta NL has appointed Dr. Philippe Bouyer as the coordinator of its Third Catalyst (CAT 3) program on Quantum Sensing Applications. Dr. Bouyer was previously Deputy Director of the Institute d’Optique (Nouvelle Aquitaine Branch) and former founding Director of the Laboratory of Photonics, Digital and Nanosciences at CNRS, IOGS, Université Bordeaux. In addition, he was co-founder and advisory chief scientist of Muquans (now iXBlue), a company dedicated to quantum precision sensors. In his new role, he will coordinate companies and knowledge institutions work together to develop the technology and applications of quantum sensing.
