QUDORA, a developer of trapped-ion quantum computing systems, has joined the Danish Quantum Community (DQC). This partnership connects QUDORA’s systems with Denmark’s quantum research and industry network.
The collaboration builds on QUDORA’s work under a €42 million ($56.3 million USD) contract from the German Aerospace Center (DLR) for its Xaphiro quantum computer. The company’s team in Hamburg recently trapped single ions at its partner laboratory with the DLR Quantum Computing Initiative, a milestone that enables the company to move into the optimization phase of its quantum technology development.
This partnership is intended to extend QUDORA’s work into the Danish market and contribute to fostering practical quantum technology development in Denmark. Dr. Amado Bautista-Salvador, CEO of QUDORA, and Jani Heikkinen, VP of Business Development, commented that the collaboration will help strengthen Europe’s position as a quantum leader and create new business opportunities.
