Quobly and SiPearl Form Partnership to Integrate European ARM CPUs and Silicon Spin QPUs

French silicon spin-qubit developer Quobly and European high-performance computing (HPC) processor designer SiPearl have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to evaluate system-level integration between SiPearl’s 80-core ARM-based Rhea1 CPU and Quobly’s silicon QPU hardware. Executed under a non-exclusive commercial agreement, the technical feasibility study forms an architectural cornerstone for Quobly’s commercial Alloy quantum product line, targeting hybrid CPU-QPU co-design, joint HPC-quantum workload optimization, and unified European sovereign hardware architectures.

The initial phase focuses on interfacing SiPearl’s Rhea1 CPU and Seine reference server with Quobly’s QPU control stack and cryogenic electronics platform. Built on STMicroelectronics’ 300mm FD-SOI manufacturing platform, Quobly’s silicon spin processors leverage semiconductor VLSI (Very Large-Scale Integration) manufacturing techniques to integrate quantum dot arrays alongside control circuitry. Pairing this with SiPearl’s Rhea1 processor establishes a European-sourced hardware pipeline connecting host supercomputing nodes directly with physical quantum coprocessors.

• Quantum Coprocessor (QPU)• 300mm FD-SOI (Isotopically purified 28Si)• STMicroelectronics• 1M qubits by 2032 (First cloud access late 2026)
• Host Processor (CPU)• Arm Neoverse V1 (61B Transistors)• SiPearl (Rhea1)• Integration into JUPITER & Alice Recoque exascale hubs
• Substrate & Isotope Supply• Substrate isolation & precursor gas• Air Liquide, Soitec, Orano• Domestic European 28Si supply chain security

The collaboration builds on Quobly’s €115 million Series A financing round completed in June 2026, led by Bpifrance, STMicroelectronics, and SEALSQ, alongside its isotopically purified silicon-28 (28Si) industrial supply chain. By aligning their commercial product roadmaps, Quobly and SiPearl intend to submit joint proposals under European funding frameworks, including the European Union’s Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU) on Quantum, to accelerate sovereign HPC-quantum infrastructure across European data centers.
