T-Systems has initiated a collaboration with AQT, the European market leader in ion trap-based quantum computers. T-Systems Quantum Cloud customers can now access AQT’s quantum computers, reinforcing Europe’s sovereignty in quantum computing. The partnership enables users to engage in quantum use cases via cloud access, integrated into T-Systems’ multi-quantum cloud offering. Successful test runs have been conducted, allowing customers immediate access to solutions and consulting services. T-Systems supports Quantum Cloud users with training, offering access to pre-built quantum algorithms and applications through the European PlanQK platform. Various service packages, including computing time-based models and volume packages, are available for customers ranging from one-day introductions to multi-month proofs-of-concept. Jörn Kellermann, SVP Global Portfolio and Technology Excellence at T-Systems, emphasizes the significance of quantum computing as a key technology for the future, fostering European infrastructure. AQT’s CEO, Thomas Monz, anticipates the collaboration will unlock new capabilities and markets for Europe. For further details, refer to the original press release here.
