The Duality Quantum Accelerator has welcomed its fourth cohort of five startups, marking a significant milestone in Illinois’ burgeoning quantum technology sector. These startups, which span the fields of quantum computing, sensing, and communication, are poised to advance their technologies in industries such as biomedicine and aerospace.
The program, managed by the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Chicago and the Chicago Quantum Exchange, offers a comprehensive 12-month curriculum that includes business training and access to premier resources. Since its inception in April 2021, Duality has seen its alumni raise over $20 million.
The new cohort includes SynthBits (Chicago, Illinois) developing quantum microscopes, Photon Queue (Urbana, Illinois) working on quantum memories, Artificial Brain (Wilmington, Delaware) focusing on quantum optimization software, QuantumAstra (Frisco, Texas) creating quantum sensors and AR/VR platforms, and Quantum Rings (Broomfield, Colorado) providing advanced quantum simulation tools. Each startup will receive $50,000 in funding and benefit from mentorship and access to state-of-the-art facilities.
