The Unitary Foundation has launched its 2025 Quantum Open Source Software (QOSS) Survey, an annual initiative designed to collect information on the quantum open-source software community. The survey includes questions on demographics, research, tools, and platforms, with the goal of providing an informative and representative snapshot of the community and field.
The survey will remain open through Friday, October 3, 2025. All anonymized results will be analyzed by the Unitary Foundation and shared publicly to serve as a resource for the field’s tools, research, and resources. The 2024 survey received 1,100 respondents, and the foundation is aiming to grow its response base this year.
This annual survey is positioned as a resource for anyone working to build a better quantum computing community, helping to track the evolution of the field and its impact on quantum technologies.
