Quantum Computing Inc. (QCi) has announced that NeuraWave, its photonic reservoir computing platform, is now deployment-ready for commercial orders. Designed as a standard PCIe plug-in card, the system utilizes a hybrid photonic-digital architecture to perform real-time artificial intelligence (AI) inference. By processing data using light—leveraging the company’s integrated photonics and thin-film lithium niobate (TFLN) technology—NeuraWave aims to provide a low-latency, energy-efficient alternative to traditional GPU-based architectures for edge and embedded environments.

The platform is specifically optimized for time-series prediction, anomaly detection, and signal processing in resource-constrained markets such as autonomous vehicles, robotics, defense, and industrial monitoring. Unlike cryogenic quantum systems, QCi’s photonic approach operates at room temperature. The deployment of NeuraWave follows its initial debut at SC25 and aligns with the company’s 2025 technology roadmap to transition quantum-inspired optical technologies from laboratory research into practical hardware-accelerated applications.

The launch marks a milestone in QCi’s effort to commercialize “full-stack” optical solutions, following its previous acquisitions of Luminar Semiconductor and NuCrypt. By targeting the “missing middle” of the AI infrastructure market—where high-performance inference is required without the power overhead of conventional digital processors—QCi intends to scale its photonic chip foundry services and system portfolio for the telecommunications and healthcare sectors.
