Photonic Inc. has appointed Orlagh Neary as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Briony Shipman as Vice President, Global Government Affairs. Neary joins from Microsoft, where she recently served as General Manager of Microsoft Quantum and AI Ecosystem Engagement. Shipman joins following a tenure as head of Cyber and Physical Defence, Data Security and Supply Chain at Lloyds Banking Group, which was preceded by 14 years within the UK’s Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ). The executive hires follow the close of Photonic’s $200 million USD funding round in May 2026.

Aliro Quantum has named Mohiuddin (Moe) Muneeb Khan as Senior Vice President of Engineering. Khan has experience in managing engineering organizations and delivering enterprise software platforms across artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, and networking domains. In his new role, he will manage the company’s software engineering teams as Aliro scales its hardware-interoperable platforms for quantum secure communications and quantum position verification applications.

Florida Atlantic University (FAU) has appointed Robert Loredo as Executive Director of the FAU Center for Quantum Technologies, effective July 1, 2026. Loredo has over 20 years of experience in technical workforce development and quantum education curriculum design, and holds more than 270 patents. He will manage the university’s quantum research strategies, algorithm development, and academic-industry partnerships, anchoring the upcoming on-campus deployment of a D-Wave Advantage2 annealing quantum system.

QuSecure, Inc. has appointed retired U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Doug Small to its Federal Advisory Board. Small recently served as the Commander of the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR), managing an annual budget of $6 billion, and previously served as the first Direct Reporting Program Manager for Project Overmatch. In his advisory capacity, Small will assist QuSecure in addressing federal post-quantum cryptography (PQC) migration mandates, including recent directives from the Department of War.

Quantum Elements has named Ben Pressley as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Pressley previously served as Chief Revenue Officer and Advisor at fabric, and spent four years as Executive Vice President of Sales, Operations & Strategy at Afterpay. He also formerly held the position of Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Customer Success & Services at Magento. In his new role, Pressley will manage the company’s global revenue strategy, commercial operations, and customer growth frameworks for its digital twin software platforms.

QAI Ventures has announced a planned leadership transition within its Singapore office. Lisa Schroeder has been appointed as Managing Director, Singapore, taking over the leadership of the firm’s Asia-Pacific (APAC) operations. She succeeds Thomas Landis, who led the initial establishment of QAI Ventures’ APAC presence. Landis, who previously contributed to the firm’s operational frameworks in Switzerland before expanding the Singapore office, will return to Switzerland and transition out of the organization.
