Helsinki-based quantum software firm Algorithmiq has announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to develop accelerated error mitigation techniques for near-term quantum devices. By leveraging NVIDIA’s supercomputing technologies, the partnership aims to address quantum computing’s most significant challenges and accelerate the realization of quantum advantage.

Tests of NVIDIA-accelerated platforms have achieved a 400x performance boost for Algorithmiq’s Tensor Network Error Mitigation (TEM) solution, marking a milestone in quantum error mitigation. The TEM solution provides error mitigation for hybrid classical/quantum systems entirely at the classical post-processing stage. The integration of NVIDIA’s technology with Algorithmiq’s TEM software enables faster, more efficient solutions, paving the way for stable, cost-effective quantum systems capable of tackling complex computational tasks across diverse industries.

Algorithmiq expects its NVIDIA-enabled platform to produce initial results by Q2 2025. The collaboration underscores the synergy between AI supercomputing and quantum technologies, demonstrating their combined potential to enhance quantum device performance and reliability. Upcoming demonstrations will showcase applications spanning finance, healthcare, materials science, and cryptography.
