Bluefors has announced three new advancements in cryogenic measurement systems: enhanced cooling capabilities, High-Density Flex Wiring (FPC), and the LD400sl System. These developments aim to address the growing demands of quantum computing applications, particularly in scaling qubit counts and managing thermal loads in ultra-low temperature environments.
The enhanced cooling solution optimizes the integration of Cryomech pulse tube cryocoolers into Bluefors’ LD and XLD dilution refrigerators. This redesign doubles the cooling power at the 4K flange when operating at 3 K and allows elevated 4K flange temperatures up to 5 K, delivering up to three times more cooling power. These improvements enable the integration of more wiring, active electronics, and larger experimental setups while maintaining low-vibration performance and reducing cooldown times.
The High-Density Flex Wiring (FPC) platform utilizes flexible printed circuit technology to provide up to 240 channels per side-loading port, significantly increasing wiring capacity while reducing thermal load. This solution is ideal for high qubit counts in both superconducting and spin qubit systems, offering a frequency range of up to 12 GHz. The wiring is compatible with Bluefors’ side-loading systems and can be preassembled for easier installation.
The LD400sl System introduces side-loading ports to the LD400 platform, enabling the integration of High-Density Flex Wiring and other measurement infrastructure modules. This system maintains the performance of the standard LD400 while offering enhanced cooling and compatibility with XLD systems, making it a versatile option for scaling experiments.
