The American Physical Society (APS) has partnered with HKA Marketing Communications, naming the agency the official global public relations partner for the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ). Designated by the United Nations for 2025, IYQ aims to raise global awareness of quantum science and its potential to revolutionize industries and improve lives worldwide.
HKA, recognized as the only PR agency dedicated to the quantum industry, will lead efforts to communicate the impact of quantum technologies and inspire the next generation of quantum professionals. The partnership will support UNESCO and APS in organizing global initiatives, events, and outreach programs throughout 2025, including an opening ceremony at UNESCO headquarters in Paris on February 4-5, 2025.
Hilary Kaye, founder and CEO of HKA, emphasized the agency’s commitment to elevating awareness of quantum science, while APS President John Doyle highlighted the importance of effective storytelling in engaging the global community.
IYQ marks the 100th anniversary of quantum mechanics and seeks to highlight the transformative potential of quantum technologies in fields such as energy, healthcare, communications, and materials science.
