IQM Quantum Computers has announced a significant production milestone, reaching the manufacturing of 30 full-stack quantum computers at its Espoo, Finland facility. This facility, capable of producing up to 20 quantum computers annually, houses Europe’s only private quantum chip factory and a dedicated assembly line. IQM has also completed the delivery of six on-premises quantum computers to customers, including VTT, LRZ, and Forschungszentrum Jülich.

Co-CEO Mikko Välimäki noted that this achievement aims to reduce the high costs associated with quantum computers by industrializing production, making the technology more accessible. The Espoo facility includes a 5,000-square-meter space, featuring a cleanroom and assembly line to support both production and R&D activities.

Looking ahead, IQM plans to expand its production capacity by opening Europe’s first industrial-scale quantum processor facility in Grenoble, France, by 2027, as part of its global growth strategy.

A press release from IQM announcing this achievement has been posted on their website here.
