IQM to Partner with UC Berkeley and Expand into the U.S.

IQM Quantum Computers, a global leader in building quantum computers has announced its plan for expansion into the United States market. As part of this expansion, IQM has signed a strategic partnership with the University of California, Berkeley, to advance Quantum Information Science (QIS) through the development and operation of the next generation of advanced superconducting quantum processors. The partnership with UC Berkeley will focus on developing 3D-integrated versions of novel quantum processors that have high quantum coherence and minimal levels of unwanted crosstalk.

This expansion aligns with IQM’s long-term strategy to begin by driving quantum adoption with education and research organizations and afterwards collaborate with high-performance computing (HPC) service providers across the US to commercialize its technology to a larger base of potential users.
