Norma has entered a three-party strategic agreement with Rigetti Computing and defense AI company Funzin to co-develop hybrid quantum-classical technologies for next-generation battlefield applications. The collaboration will focus on integrating quantum machine learning, optimization, and AI algorithms into military decision-support systems.
The effort aims to produce hybrid AI architectures capable of rapid situational awareness, electromagnetic spectrum analysis, and real-time threat detection using both classical and quantum computing resources. The partners will also engage in research commercialization (R&BD) and infrastructure sharing to accelerate readiness and deployment.
Funzin, known for AI-enabled defense platforms, intends to incorporate quantum-enhanced models into its command and reconnaissance systems. Norma will contribute quantum software expertise and access to Rigetti’s 84-qubit quantum platform scheduled for Korean launch later this year.
The agreement reflects a growing trend toward embedding quantum computing within military AI strategies and highlights Rigetti’s expanding global role in defense-focused quantum collaborations.
