ORCA Computing and ParTec AG have announced a strategic partnership to deliver quantum-accelerated AI Factories, marking a new phase in enterprise-ready quantum computing. Under this agreement, ORCA’s photonic quantum systems will be deployed within ParTec’s AI supercomputing environments, including two of the world’s upcoming largest supercomputers—ELBJUWEL at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf and VESUVIO at Università di Napoli Federico II. These systems are designed for AI-as-a-Service, supporting next-generation use cases in mobility, aerospace, cybersecurity, and healthcare.
The joint solution merges ParTec’s high-performance computing (HPC) and AI infrastructure with ORCA’s room-temperature, low-latency photonic quantum computers. This approach enables real-time hybrid computing architectures with rapid deployment and native integration into existing classical workflows. Notably, the ORCA PT Series installs in hours, requires no cryogenics or facility modifications, and integrates seamlessly with Kubernetes, Slurm, PyTorch, and CUDA-Q. The combined system accelerates AI training, inference, and optimization workloads by introducing quantum-enhanced components directly into the classical compute pipeline.
This initiative positions Europe to lead in sovereign quantum-AI development, with a vision for scalable, energy-efficient, and future-proof systems that can evolve as quantum hardware matures. According to ORCA CEO Richard Murray, the partnership ensures quantum’s utility “today, not someday”—delivering immediate time-to-value in enterprise environments through cloud-ready, plug-and-play integration.
