Patero Inc., a post-quantum cryptography company, and Calibr8 Systems, Inc., a systems integrator specializing in industrial data infrastructure, have announced a strategic agreement to facilitate the migration of industrial data infrastructures to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) in Australia and the Philippines.
Under the alliance, the two companies will deliver cryptographic discovery and inventory services, as well as migration pathways to NIST-compliant PQC. Patero’s crypto-agile solutions hybridize classic encryption with NIST-standardized quantum-resistant algorithms. The collaboration will initially focus on financial services, telecommunications, and critical infrastructure operators in both regions.
The partnership is aligned with government mandates for phasing out quantum-vulnerable cryptographic algorithms. In Australia, the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) updated its Information Security Manual (ISM) to require the transition to PQC, with a deadline of 2030 for phasing out legacy algorithms in High Assurance Cryptographic Equipment (HACE). In the Philippines, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) has launched initiatives like QISLaP and Elev8PH to advance national capabilities in quantum-safe cybersecurity.
David Lim, CEO of Calibr8 Systems, noted that the collaboration aims to bring cryptographic visibility, agility, and secure migration to markets that need it most. Patero’s solutions are intended to assist organizations in meeting compliance mandates and staying resilient against quantum-era threats.
