QC Design, a leader in quantum design automation software, has secured €4 million ($4.35 million USD) in funding through the prestigious EIC Accelerator program by the European Innovation Council. This funding aims to support the further development of their Plaquette quantum design-automation software and architectures for fault-tolerant quantum computing. Plaquette is crucial for hardware manufacturers, helping them optimize logical qubits and architectures despite imperfections in physical qubits and gates.
Emerging as one of 68 winners out of 969 proposals in a highly competitive process with a 7% success rate, QC Design highlights the critical need for fault-tolerance design-automation tools in advancing quantum computing technologies. The €4 million funding, which includes a €2.5 million ($2.72 million USD) grant and up to €1.5 million ($1.63 million USD) in equity investments, supports QC Design’s mission to enhance scalable and reliable quantum computing solutions across various hardware platforms.
