Quantum eMotion Corp. (QeM), a developer of quantum-powered cybersecurity tools, has established a U.S. subsidiary, Quantum eMotion America (QeMA), based in Irvine, California. The expansion aims to increase QeM’s commercial presence in the U.S., focusing on defense, enterprise, and academic sectors. The location was chosen for its proximity to strategic technology hubs and access to talent and customers in cybersecurity and national security domains.

John Young, a board member of Quantum eMotion and a cybersecurity industry veteran with over three decades of experience, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of QeMA. Young has held leadership roles at IBM and McDonnell Douglas and is one of a small number of professionals globally certified across all nine ISC2 domains.

QeM develops quantum random number generator (QRNG) technology as a foundation for post-quantum secure communications. The company plans to market its solutions to sectors such as financial services, healthcare, secure IoT, cloud infrastructure, and classified communications. The U.S. launch coincides with broader commercialization efforts and rising concern over quantum-era cybersecurity threats.
